Timelines are a tool that historians use to organize events. The planet has had a vast amount of events happen in the small amount of time humans have been in existence. Without the use of a timeline, historians would find it impossible to organize events in history, learn from cause and effect, and look at historical periods.
Content/Language Goal: I will be able to write to put dates on a timeline.
1. Look at the dates: 100 BCE, 50 CE, 150 AD, 17 CE, 1 CE, 1BC, and 2015 AD. Using these dates, place them in order on a timeline. If you are struggling with this watch the video below.
2. On index cards, write 15 dates. Remember that you need to assign these dates one of the following: AD, BC, BCE, or CE. Then see if you are able to place the cards in order on a timeline. If you need more practice, pick another 15 dates and put those in order.
3. Complete the assignment below on a separate sheet of paper.
